First of all, I am sorry for speaking English, but I am from the Netherlands, so I must say I don`t know your language.
Pre svega,izvinjavam se sto govorim na Engleskom,ali ja sam iz Holandije,i moram vam reci da ne znam vas jezik

I came here because I found a thread of the Saab 90, and saw the pictures in it wich are coming from my Saab 90 website.
Dosao sam ovde jer sam nasao temu o saab-u 90, i video slike koje poticu sa mog Saab 90 vebsajta.
I have created 2 websites: www.saab-90.nl (wich will be renewed soon) and www.saab90.net (english site, wich will also be renewed). Feel free to take a look, lots of pictures can be found!

My parens have a few Saabs, it is some kind of hobby. We love the Saabs..! I`ll make a picture from the cars when I am at my parents house :)

When i bought the Saab 90, I drove with it for a while.

After a while, problems started to come up. Lots, lots, and i mean LOTS of rust, all over the car.
Posle izvesnog vremena,poceli su problemi.Mnogo,mnogo,i bukvalno MNOGO rdje po celom autu
Just a few pictures of what we have fixed on the Saab 90. I am sorry, I don`t know the words in English so I hope the pictures will say enough.
Evo nekoliko slika i izvinjavam se - ne znam (adekvatne) engleske reci ,ali se nadam da cete po slikama razumeti
I cleaned the holes on the pictures below, got some anti-rust on it, and then tectyl and coating, to make sure it will be held in good condition. Did that on both sides (left and right).
Ocistio sam rupu na slici ispod,namazao je anti-rostom,a zatim premazao i zastitio da budem siguran da ce ostati u dobrom stanju.To sam uradio na obe strane (levoj i desnoj)
On the right front side, it was more rusty. We needed to weld some new metal parts in it.
Na desnoj prednjoj strani je bilo dosta trulo.Morali smo variti nove delove (odnosi se na limariju)
Later, I was driving home with 140kph from Germany. I got home and noticed some strange sounds left front.
I decided to take a look under the wheel suspention... Quite a big hole and quite lucky that I have made it home!
Kasnije,kada sam se vracao kuci iz Nemacke (vozio sam 140),cuo sam neke cudne zvuke iz prednjeg levog (odnosi se na tocak).Odlucio sam da pogledam oko opruga/amortizera....Prilicno velika rupa i prilicno dosta srece sto sam stigao do kuce
I looked at my father, and he was willing to fix it (I love my father, he can and wants to help me with fixing the SAAB all the time!)
Pogledao sam tatu,i bio je voljan da mi to zavari (ja volim mog tatu,uvek je voljan da mi pomogne kad je popravka SAAB-a u pitanju)
He weld a new metal part in it as you can see below (yes, it was quite a difficult job to weld it, as you can see):
Zavario je novo parce kao sto mozete videti (prilicno tezak posao)
Also, it appeared that some water has been leaking into my trunk. On the pictures below, you can see the rust and the water... I decided to remove the rust, spray some anti-rust and some tectyl. I did that 2 years ago. Bottom of the trunk is still in good condition now. Trunk was leaking because of the left light. Water was going into the trunk from there. So I fixed the left back light and now water isn`t leaking anymore.
Takodje,pojavila se neka voda koja slivala u moj gepek.Na slici ispod,mozete videti rdju i vodu....Odlucio sam da uklonim rdju,premazem anti rostom i zastitim.To sam radio pre dve godine.Dno prtljaznika je sad u dobrom stanju.Lepo sam fiksirao zadnju levu stop lampu (voda je ulazila odatle) i voda vise ne ulazi.
We did lots and lots more. All of the (i think the right word is) wheel arches had holes in it. We put some new pieces metal in the holes, and everything is solved now! No holes in it, almost no rust, and it is driving like a charm!
Uradili smo puno toga jos. Svi (mislim da je ovo pravi izraz) kosevi su imali rupe. Stavili smo novi metal u rupe i sada je sve reseno. Nema vise rupa, skoro nigde rdje i ide kao san.
For about 2 weeks ago, we noticed that the iron frame beneath the back window was rusty. We got the window out of the car, and the iron frame was totally "messed up" with rust... We decided to take the whole frame out of the car and replace it with a frame from another (demolished) Saab 90. Now, also there, no rust anymore!
Pre neke 2 nedelje smo shvatili da je gvozdeni ram ispod zadnjeg stakla zardjao. Izvadili smo staklo napolje i ram je bio skroz propao od rdje. Odlucili smo se da izvadimo ceo ram iz kola i da ga zamenimo sa ramom iz jednog drugog (slupanog) Saab-a 90. Sada, i tu, vise nema rdje!

Also, my Saab 90 has got a brand new gearbox, so it is driving very smooth!
Had 2 large trips with it:
2011: Netherlands - Germany - Switzerland - Italy - Venecia - Back home (4000+kms in 2 weeks).
2012: Netherlands - Germany - Poland - Slovakia - Austria - Back home (5000+kms in 3 weeks).
Without pain, everything went very smoothly with the Saab!
Takodje moj Saab 90 ima nov menjac, tako da ide jako lepo!
Imao sam 2 vece ture s njim:
2011: Holandija - Nemacka - Svajcarska - Italija - Venecija - povratak kuci (4000+km za 2 nedelje)
2012: Holandija - Nemacka - Poljska - Slovacka - Austrija - povratak kuci (5.000km za 3 nedelje)
Bez ikakvih problema, Saab je isao lepo celim putem
I don`t have time at this moment to create this thread a bit better, so I will leave it with this information.

Niels, a really rear and nice car, you put a lot effort into it!
The first pictures with rust.......I believe the part is called Axle Tunnels - it´s a common problem on
90/99/900-I
I´ve had also on my 900 the outside part of the right axle tunnel done.
I also have one question regarding the transmission. I presume it´s a 5 speed (I belive the 4 speed is indestructible). Did you had your original transmission repaired/refurbished or did you buy a new one and where (maybe Elferink)?
My 900 is a Turbo 8 it has 270.000km on the clock – it´s running quit good, but as a 900 owner I´m always concerned and on the lookout for a transmission solution

How much is the consumption of your car,which is the device in the car,how much money (if not a secret),and how are you satisfied with it ....
