Although the triumph V8 angle might be same as 4cyl Saab,and not quite half CC the dolomite sprint head would not fit on the V8 or you would have had a tremendously powerfull engine for it's day. but the in house politcs at BL decided not to use the Rover /buick 3.5 V8 which would have done the job and saved a fortune.
The Saab slant 4engine and Triumph was produced on the same line, the main difference, at the start, was that the bore was different to triumph, in that the bore for the sleeve was one size and the piston bore different as well, but due to my fathers input, they eventually bored all blocks the same then put the different bore liners in thus any triumph block was a saab block just with difference in cc liners, as otherwise all you could tell was that saab had a saab rocker and Triumph a Triumph, as alternators,starters etc were all the same? and apparently he told me that Saab had'nt the facility to build the engine, when they needed it, so it finished up a joint effort, but with small variations, Triumph providing the amchining etc expertise and Sabbproviding the drawing's /technology side, but a joint effort till Saab had the capacity to build it themselves, probably after triumph had shut down in 1979, and the TR7 being finished /made at Rover, and please 'NOTE' the Triumph Acclaim, never was a Truimph it was made at logbridge after Trium

nik 900t je napisao:danas pogledao i provozao jbt svidja mi se u voznji ocekivao sam raspad kad ono relativno ok....e sad limarija uufffff nije nesto truo nista strasno vrata zadnji rubovi dobili ostalo ok gita ima ispucao na sto mesta strasno ofarban sve popucalo krov zadnji gepek unakazen do bola znaci kompletno farbanje i pretresanje limarije da lici na nesto.ali sledi iznenadjenje dignem haubu nema karburator nego ima ubrizgavanje kompijuter dizne sok aaaaa pogledam u gepek verovatno el pumpa neka budza reklo bi se nova.nesto se nisam zagrejao bas ja mislim da ne vredi vise od 400e max.menjac je dobar 4 brzine.gazda nije tu pa se nezna koliko tacno trazi ali 400e mozda i dam.........boki..........AERO je napisao:nik 900t je napisao:ma jok zelena 99ka 4 vrata znas......
